In the southwest of Yichun, Jiangxi, China, there is a Mingyue Mountain. It is the place where Chang'e flew to the moon in folk legends and the birthplace of lunar culture, so the local area is also known as the "Moon City".
In recent years, Mingyue Mountain Scenic Area has continued to develop the moon culture tourism industry, holding 16 sessions of the Moon Culture Tourism Festival. Each session of the Moon Culture Tourism Festival, Mingyue Mountain Scenic Area presents a unique way for domestic and foreign tourists to present a wonderful audio-visual feast and a beautiful experience of lingering, setting three Guinness World Records such as "Ten Thousand People Soaking in Hot Springs".
On the evening of September 23rd, one of the series activities of the 17th Moon Culture Festival was held in Wentang Town through the 2000 year selenium hot spring activity. The event showcases traditional folk customs such as singing the moon, fetching water, and washing feet in Wentang Town through diverse forms such as singing and dancing performances and interactive national customs, attracting enthusiastic participation from a large number of tourists.
To ensure the smooth progress of the event, employees of the State Grid Yichun Yuanzhou District Power Supply Company regularly conduct temperature checks on the electrical equipment and lines in the scenic area, promptly eliminate hidden dangers, and stay at the electricity protection site throughout the activity period to help "Moon City" shine with full grid electricity.
